Andrew C. Jorges is one of the firm’s founders and focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions and disputes. During his career, Andrew has participated in over one thousand real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of five hundred million dollars consisting of cooperative and condominium units, townhouses, multi-family properties, and commercial properties throughout the New York metropolitan area. He also has extensive experience representing cooperative and condominium boards throughout New York City, as well as handling complex litigation matters related to contract disputes, specific performance, partition actions, landlord/tenant matters, and general commercial litigation.
Andrew has been selected to the Super Lawyers 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 New York Metro Rising Stars list in the area of Real Estate Law and Business, an honor that is limited to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys in New York State.
Andrew has been quoted in The New York Times and frequently lectures at some of the most prominent real estate brokerages in New York City. He is licensed by the New York Department of State to teach continuing education courses in the field of residential and commercial real estate.
Prior to starting Jorges & Bowers, LLP Andrew had his own firm. Before that he worked at several boutique real estate law firms, including Nicholas Bowers’ prior firm, where he handled a variety of real estate matters including transactional real estate, real estate litigation, and provided general counsel to boards of directors and managers in connection with various facets of building management and operations. Andrew previously worked in the New York office of the accounting firm KPMG, LLP as an auditor.
