Michelle Charbonneau

Of Counsel​

Michelle is Of Counsel to Jorges & Bowers, LLP and is a seasoned and versatile lawyer who specializes in business and commercial law with a focus on real estate. Michelle has solid experience handling breach of contract claims, commercial lease disputes and construction issues in federal, state and civil courts. Michelle also has particular expertise advising cooperative and condominium boards on their rights and remedies and serving as their litigation counsel on an as-needed basis. Aside from dealing with disputes, Michelle also negotiates complex agreements with developers, contracts to ensure compliance with local laws (i.e., LL 11) as well as license and access agreements relating to neighboring work and capital improvements. While much of her practice involves representing business owners, Michelle also enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life, including property owners, entrepreneurs, shareholders, mortgagors, debtors, landlords and everyday people. 

Michelle was previously a partner at a prominent boutique real estate firm and her legal career began as an associate at well-established commercial and civil litigation firms in New York City.
